Festival of organ music “Sophia bells” to open in Polotsk

The festival of organ music “Sophia bells” in the ancient town at the Dvina is going to open. The admirers of organ music may join the opening ceremony on October, 28.
Not only Polotsk citizens come to listen to the organ of St. Sophia Cathedral: organ music fans come together from many belorusian cities as well as from neighbouring countries. This music is clear to everybody who wants to listen to it. Ksenia Pogorelaya is going to open the festival. She is the most favourite organ music performer in Polotsk, laureate of international contests. The opening ceremony will also feature Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus, prize winner of “Spiritual Renaissance” Galina Pavlenok and chamber choir of Gomel regional philharmonic.
By the way, a creative forum is to open in Polotsk. It will last up to December, 2 and will let its listeners visit performances of many famous foreign musicians, who will arrive from Poland, Switzerland, Italy and Slavonic neighbours – Russia and Ukraine.
